How do I stop annoying pop-ups?

These very annoying pop-up ads keep popping up, whether or not i'm logged on
the internet or not. If Im in a program it automaticallly minimizes the
program i'm on and popups show up. I cant figures out why. I have the pop-up
blocker enabled in my internet options.NOw what?

There are free popup stoppers on the net. I love the free GoogleBar, use it
all the time, and it comes with a popup stopper.

The popup stoppers will stop the annoyances but if the pop ups are coming up
when your not logged on the internet, it means you probably have spyware or
malware on your computer. You should attend to it. You could use SpyBot or
Adaware - lavasoft.de.

Check the pop-up blocker settings..set them to a higher level if it is set to
low.
But since they are popping up when you are not on the internet. This is
definitely some sort of Spyware/Adware. Try downloading Microsoft's free
AntiSpyware, after installing run a full scan. It should remove any
Spyware/Adware from your system.
