How do I stop a message from being sent after I hit the Send butto

I sent a large zip file (250mb folder) and it is taking forever to go thru.
It may not ever go thru and I want to intercept it to do so. Since nothing
ever appears in my Outbox, as it did on prior versions or different
computers, I can't see the progress or interrupt it. How do I interrupt a
current send?

Place Outlook offline by File-> WOrk Offline and restart Outlook.
