how do i stop a background image in word tiling

have added a background image that looks fine on screen, but when i print the
doc the background image shrinks to 1/4 page size and tiles the image. how
do i keep the image at A4 size when printing?

In Word, try turning off background printing in Tools | Options |
Print. In Windows, try turning off printing spooling and/or
advanced text services in Start | Control Panel | Printers |
<right-click on your printer> | Properties | Advanced.
