How do I skip columns when tabbing in Exce?

How do I configure a spreadsheet to skip columns when I am tabbing across for
data entry?

Select the columns you want to tab to and then do
format>Cells...>protection>locked - uncheck

Now go to Tools>Protection>Protect sheet...

It will now only tab to the unlocked cells
