How do I save something to the desktop?

When I used Windows XP and I wanted to SAVE a file, I would click on "Save
as" and a drop-down menu would appear that included "Desktop." Then the file
would appear on the desktop or in a folder that I had created on the desktop.
In Windows Vista, the "Desktop" is not on the drop-down menu any more. How
can I save something to my desktop now?

At the top where it has your name, followed by folders, hit the first arrow
and it will drop down and show you your desktop location. It was hard to
find at first, but after a while, it's fast and easy!
