What version of Outlook?
What message type?
What are the right-click options you get?

Outlook 2007, SP1 MSO
Message Type: incoming e-mail

After opening the email by double clicking on the header, when I "right
Click" on a photo I get the following menu: cut, copy, paste, edit picture,
edit hyperlink, open hyperlink, remove hyperlink, insert caption, border and
shading & picture.
All options are greyed out except "copy" & "open hyperlink". I can "copy"
yhe photo then paste it into some other application. Cannot "Save As" a jpg
file directly from outlook.

Another issue; at one time I could view the email in my browser, Internet
Explorer.
OPen email by double clicking on it. It opens in a seperate window.
Use "Other Actions" in the "Actions" menu and select the command "View in
Browser". E-mail would open in explorer giving me the option of doing a "save
as" by right clicking a jpg., but now when I select it it opens my email in
wordpad which cannot open jpgs.

Is this not available to you any longer? It should be. What's the format of
the message?

I failed to clarify that I was opening the email in Outlook then selected the
Outlook command "Open in Browser" (under "Other Options" on the menu bar) the
email opens in Wordpad in text format within Outlook.

Curious... Why should I need to write a fancy macro or buy a $30.00 program
to open jpegs in Outlook? I have never had a problem on any other PC I have
used in the past until I got this one with Outlook 2007 on it. Did MS remove
this option?

Don't mean to sound flaming but this is very frustrating.

Are you saying that when you use the Open in Browser option that the message
opens in Wordpad? Try using Windows' Set Program Access and Defaults to reset
your web browser.

No. As far as I know, Outlook has never been able to save embedded pictures
as anything by bitmap files, although Outlook versions prior to 2007 were able
to show animation. Attachments are another matter. If it's an attachment,
then you should be able to save it in its original format with Save.
