How do I save e-mail folders to a disc?

I save e-mail messages on my laptop to an Outlook folder. I do the same with
my desktop. I want to transfer the messages in these folders one to the
other. I purchased Outlook because I understood I could save these folders to
a CD with the full program but not with Outlook Express.
Help would be appreciated.

I think you understood wrong... are you saving the individual messages to
your Outlook folder in the windows file system? If so, just burn the folder
to CD.

Diane----don't tell me I wasted my money!!! (yet again). I transfer messages
as received and where appropriate to a particular Outlook folder. These all
relate to one business relationship. I go south in the fall with my laptop
and I need access to those messages in that folder (there are 100's). That is
why I want to know----how do I transfer that folder to my laptop from my
desktop?

Are you moving the items in Outlook or into the windows file system? if
outlook, either find the pst that is your mailbox and copy it or export the
contents - then copy the pst to the other computer. You can move it via a
LAN connection or by DVD/CD, but you can not read it from the CD - it needs
to be on the hard drive.
