How do I restore original keyboard standard key definitions

I recently encountered some RAM errors; during which, my computer became
literally possessed - it changed settings so quickly, I could not track them.
I now have everything repaired but have noticed that my regular keyboard
keys are redefined - these are NOT shortcut keys. My ? symbol is now located
at Shift6 instead of its original key - and there are others.

How do I restore my keystroke definitions back to their original, proper
settings?

If this problem only occurs in Word, then in Word click on Tools | Customize
| Keyboard | Reset All | OK. If this problem occurs in all programs, then
possibly a non-U.S. keyboard layout is selected in Start | Control Panel |
Regional and Language Options | Languages | Details | Settings.
