How do I restore a deleted mail client?

I

I'm Aussie

I did not realise that deleting a mail client would delete everything I
already had in Outlook 2007. I need my calendar. How can I restore what I
deleted please? I went into mail set up and the mail client selected was
Outlook and I clicked OK (I think those where the steps ...) thinking I would
have another step. When I opened Outlook everything had been deleted,
messages (yes expected but not realised because I did think this thing
through!!!), calendar, contacts etc.

Sorry I'm a bit vague. However I have found a couple of Outlook files after
a search but they won't open. I had to browse to find the Outlook icon and I
now have 2007 M/S Office component listed in the Open With dialogue, with the
Outlook icon, but the file still won't open.

I'm using Vista with Office 2007. Any help you can give would be much
appreciated.

Open Add/Remove Programs, select Office 2007, then do a Repair Install.
This should restore your deleted email client (Outlook 2007). No data
should be lost.

If this does not resolve your problem, please explain more detailed how
and why you deleted your email client.

Did you delete the email client, which is Microsoft Outlook, did you delete
the email profile, or did you delete the PST (Outlook data file) that
contained your email/calendar/etc.?
