How do I remove Outlook Icon from System Notification?

I can not seem to remove and prevent the Outlook Icon from appearing in the
System Notification area. I do not want or need system notifications and
virtually all programs have some where you can check to remove those Icons.

I am using Outlook 2003 for Microsoft Office Professional with SP2 Build 11.8002.6568).

Tools->options->Email Options->Advanced - uncheck show notification
envelope...
