How do I remove animations?

I've added 'typewriter' animation to some title slides

I dont like them but there's no method to remove animation (just change it)

How do I remove animations?

I've read that you can remove animations from the timeline - but you can't -
animations dont appear in the timeline

PapaJohn

zoom into the timeline... the PgUp and PgDown keys are one way to zoom in
and out....

look for clips on the Title Overlay track.... those are your titles... at
least some of them. Select one and press the delete key.

You might also have title animations as clips on the video track.... zoomed
down pretty far will help you see them. Again, delete them.

Titles are not overlayed - they're inserted - hence why animations dont
appear

There must be a way of removing animations - should be equally as easy as
adding them - if not easier

Sounds like a bit of a programming cock up - and i'll need to add the slides
again

Any suggestions before i start over?

If you go to Timeline View you will find
PapaJohn's instructions to be correct.

And.....yes.....titles are not "Overlayed"
but...they 'are' in the Title Overlay Track...
that's the one at the very bottom.

If they are not there...you'll find them
between the clips on the Video track.

Expand the track for easier viewing
by using your Page Down key.

Just right click/delete.

I'm actually using Vista so I can only imagine what I have is not the same

but there's no sign of Titles anywhere but in the video row (where i
expected to find titles i chose to 'insert' (as opposed to 'overlay')

see for yourself:

that deletes the whole title - i just wanted to remove the animation (same
way i inserted them) - but it looks like it's a one-way cock up and i will
need to start over

Maybe I finally understand your question...I'm old...
give me a break.

You want to keep the text but change the animation?

Try this...right click a Title Clip and from the menu...
choose...Edit Title...

Select...Change the title animation...

Choose a different animation / Done.

Nope - changing the animation is very easy

i want to 'remove' the animation (as per title)

seems like it is a bit of a programming cock up and there is no method of
removing animations

looks like i'll need to delete the whole titles and start over

i do wonder how some software gets off the drawing board

Just a final thought...

Try the freeware Photo Story 3....it's a better
app for working with still shots. And you can
save the files in the .wmv format and import
them into movie maker if you wish to add them
to a project that includes video clips.

PhotoStory 3 For Windows
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/photostory/default.mspx

The following utility can change duration, remove
motion and remove transitions from a Photo Story
..wp3 project file.

TweakPS
