how do i "remove" all xp home,,then put back/

i have so much bad stuff,missing files and others,,i was told by tech support i'd be better off reinstal'in xp home! why pay to have it done if i can do it my self?
i have all the recovery disc,,and all things that come with my membership. the only way i can get online is to pretend i'm a new user,,and it's real basic,,so,, if you can just point me in the right way,, i'll print out the instructions and give it a whirl;^)
btw,,i lost all those things use'in the beta test cd i got for 9.1,,,humm?

Do you have an original XP Home disc with the product key? If not, purchase
the upgrade or full version software. Gotta play by the rules. If so, you
can do a clean install, reformat the hard drive and reload your files, etc.
Be sure to save any files you need on a disc, separate internal hard drive
or external hard drive device.

You may not be able to perform the clean installation of Windows XP Home
with an OEM disc containing the operating system and the add ins they
provide.

Did you try a System Restore to an earlier date? This procedure may correct
an issues you are having.

thanks "T" yes i have all things,,
system restore just plain ran out of vert mem..,,space,, by the time i figured out it was the 9.1 disc" beta test'in" and the,, WJview error.can't execute main,no fine file popped up;^( i was pretty much screwed as far as a return to normality.
i just need to know if i'm able to wipe this emachine clean and start over with all the,,xp,,,yes i have the tracking id #'s,,,reboot,,and the the rest!
i'm ok with try'in this,,what else can i lose? i just need to learn ta wipe this thing off and start all over again;^)
