How do I reduce the file size of a replicated mdb file

The replicated mdb database that I created about two years ago is now
978212kb and is becomming unstable. Hidden system files account for a good
deal of this size but as permissions are restricted I cannot delete any
records. Is there anything that can be done to reduce the overall fils size
of the db?
Thank you in advance,
Mark.

try repair and compress, also be sure, that the Objectname - Autokorrector
(?) in the Option-Menü is turned off - that should be help. Is the database
a backend ones or did you start this database every time?

Tools... Database Utilities... Compact and Repair, if you haven't done
so already.

Replication DOES involve a large amount of overhead: Access must track
not only the current data but all *changes* to the data as well, in
order to properly propagate changes to other replicas.

Check MichKa's Replication FAQ at http://www.trigeminal.com to see if
there is some way to clean out old no-longer-needed replication
information.
