How do I re-install MSI on XP?

My XP MSI files were damaged, so I uninstalled them. When I went to
download new MSI files I could only find versions for 2000/NT and Windows
9X. Now, I can't install ANYTING on this XP system.

The Microsoft website states that XP comes with MSI and there is no specific
download for it.

How do I re-install MSI on XP?

Thanks,

Which one did you delete?

Do a Search for MSI.*.
If you deleted the msi.dll and have installed the service packs, copy the
file from the service pack/I386 folder to your Windows\System32 folder. If
you have not installed the service packs, expand the original msi.dl_ in the
Windows\I386 folder.

If you deleted msi.mof or msi.mfi files, expand the original msi.mf_ and
msi.mo_ files in Windows\I386 to Windows\system\wben folder.

To expand a compressed file ending with a _ {such as msi.mo_}, use
expand.exe located in the Windows\I386 folder.
