How do I permantely change the location of where Word saves?

I am trying to permantely change the location of where Word saves the
documents and how to also change the setting of the alternate location of
where it saves to. For instance, I want Word's default saving setting to save
to a drive, if that drive is unavailable, I want it to save to another
folder. Is that possible?

Click on [Tools | Options | File Locations]. Modify the path of the 'File
Typesocuments' to the path you require. After completing all newly saved
documents will be found in the new position. If it does not then check
security for the path you have chosen. Check the available hard disk space
etc.
