How do I move Contacts in Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2002?

I have contacts (and personal folders) in Outlook 2003 and I need to move
them to a lower version Outlook 2002. When I try to add the pst file to the
Outlook 2002 it tells me that this is not a person folders file. I made
copies of the pst files from 2003 and I am adding a data files to the 2002.
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to save it at a lower level?
Also, when I tried to e-mail the contacts they didn't come across as a
contact. It came across as ane-mail with nothing in it.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

One way to do it is to create another Personal Folder File (pst) but select
the 97 - 2002 format and then drag and drop your contacts into this or use
the Edit menu to copy to folder. Then close this new pst by right clicking
on it and then close Outlook, Use the file menu to open this pst in the
older version and drag and drop the contacts. You will need to drag and drop
the other items in the pst to the 97 - 2002 version as you have gathered an
Outlook 2003 Unicode pst isn't compatible with earlier versions.
