How do I modify eterna font to strikethrough? Mine underlines.

I have a Word (2002) document that has been formatted with eterna as the
font. When trying to add strikethrough, it is shown and printed as an
underline. Other than changing the font (which does work), are there any
other solutions?

Probably not; if the font is poorly designed, there would be nothing you
could do short of modifying the font itself (using a separate font editing
application).
