how do i make a chart based on a query with a criteria

i have a query with some info and an expression in criteria row on the date
column. i imput the date in a form in order to get data for the range of
date needed and it works good no problem with the filter and no problem with
the reports, but when i build a chart, it says that the expression is wrong
and i can't get the chart i want. the expression is like

Between[forms]![fechas general]![Text1] And [forms]![fechas general]![Text3]

is there another way to get a chart filtered by a range of date? i would
like no know. I'm new in acces. i'll apreciate any help
