Send the mail in HTML format and insert the picture into the mail as opposed
to attaching it.

so you are suggesting to create an html file with the pic in the body, and
then attach this html file to the email?

no. Create an email using HTML formatted message and embed the image in it.
What version of outlook do you use? all versions since 97 support HTML
formatted email.

Insert as Text? I mean for you to insert the picture as a picture in an HTML
mail item. As Diane mentioned, if you're using a version of Outlook beyond
OL97 it should support HTML mail
