How do I label a field on a report in Access?

I thought when you added field to a report there was an attached label. I am
not seeing this. I really need to label my fields, how can I get this done?

If the "default" control definition was modified to leave off the label, you
won't have one for new (control) objects.

To add one, first add a (bare-naked) label, then "cut" it, then highlight
the control to which you want to attach it, then "paste". The label will be
attached to the (highlighted) control.

Thanks Jeff! I got the labeling done.
May I ask you another one? How do I move a Report to the Reports category in
the navigation pane? The last report I designed is only showing up in the
Date Created category. It does not show up in the Report section where I'd
like it to be. I don't see a "move to" function. I also assume, as time goes
on, that it will no longer show up in the Date Created section as well.
Other reports I have made in the past show up in the Reports category. Can
you help explain this confusing new part of Access 2007. Thanks!

I'll point out that by embedding your "another one" inside this thread, you
are much less like to have folks in the newsgroup lay eyes on it ... fewer
eyes = fewer brains = fewer ideas.

I don't have an idea (see, it isn't working already!) why it would show one
place but not the other ... unless the object (report) is marked hidden.

Good luck!

Alisa,

The new views in A2007 were a bit wierd for me to get used to also. I got
kind of frustrated at times when objects were "lost" because I wasn't
selecting the correct viewing method. Don't know if it'll help, but I like to
keep my object viewer as "Object Type - All Access Objects". Haven't had any
problems with it.

Thanks Jeff! I got the labeling done.
