How Do I Jazz Up My PowerPoint 2003 Presentation?

Q

quirkyjoe

I have to develop a PowerPoint presentation (I am using PowerPoint
2003) for some very high level managers.

I am a technical person, not an artist. So when I make presnetations
they are fairly basic.

Does anyone know of some hints or examples I can use to make my
presentation more professional/interesting.

I have to use a white background so the templates with all the colors
are out.

And I certainly am not using animations or those stupid fade ins.

I am talking about changing fonts, colors adding lines, etc to jazz
things up.

Thanks!

Hi Joe

Try looking in magazines or the bits in between TV programmes (where they
tell you what's coming up later etc) and see what appeals to you. Remember
there is nothing wrong with white space!

There are many articles out there in avoiding 'bad' powerpoint:

Also look at ones on visual aids here:

'animations & those stupid fade ins' have their place if they illustrate the
point e.g. a process. The idea is that the slides support the speaker. The
speaker is king don't forget.

There are some samples you can look at on my website too:

Hope that helps
