How do I get the shortcuts back?

Under Start Menu-> Programs, I have had a lot of the XP Pro and Office short
cuts get corrupt. The short cut "Name' Is there but the icon is the one I get
when things are undefined.

Here is what I have lost the short cuts to

-> Notepad
-> Sychronize
-> Tour Windows XP

-> Accessories
--> Hyperterminal
--> Network Setup Wizard
--> New Connection Wizard
--> Remote Desktop Connection

-> System Tools
--> BackUp
--> Character Map
--> Disk Clean Up
--> Files and Setting Transfer Wizard
--> Scheduled Tasks
--> System Information
--> System Restore

I had also lost the Shortcuts to Office 2000(EXCEL, WORD, POWER POINT,
ACCESS, OUTLOOK), but I knew where the pgms were and made new shortcuts.

How do I get the shortcuts back. I have No idea where the pgms are for
these above named items. If I did I would just make shortcuts.

Hi Alan,

From what I remember, this generally has to do with a recent display driver
update, a change from 32 bit to 16 or that the hardware acceleration rate is
too high.

However, you will find that the exact fix you are seeking can be found via
the Office groups. Good luck!
