How do I get rid of HEADINGS? They appear unwanted sometimes.

When I start a new document, the third line sometimes pops up in a different
font and type size in bold. If I go into HEADINGS and change it to NORMAL,
the text goes back to what I wanted. However, a few lines later, it may
convert again to HEADING. I want to eliminate the HEADINGS globally.

This is probably a result of the Automatic Headings setting in AutoFormat As
