how do i get my internet back after a friend updated a driver??

a friend installed a driver for the net today WITHOUT ASKING and when i went
to use the net today and it wouldnt let me!! it
said

windows cannot configure this wirless connection. if
you have enabled another program to manage this
wireless connection, use that software.ifyou want
windows to configure this wireless connection start the
wireless zero configuration service article 87122
microsoft knowledge base at micrsoft.com

im mental when it comes to this stuff and live in italy . i bought the
computer in canada and just cant get the dell support here. can someone
explain to me what to do like im 5 pls? i have wifi thru my landlord next
door but cant get anything since this morning...and my friend left to greece!

he wrote me back with this :

I didnt install anything other than spybot and an antivirus and adriver from
windows update for your wireless card,thats probably what is causing the
problem butunfortunately.... I cannot exactly diagnose from here*


im trying to use the ROLLBACK feature in the device manager but i have no
idea what to rollback! i have no idea what a driver would be called--- im
gonna snap soon. my landlord will reinstal the alice (italian internet
service) when he gets back from vacation! until them im spending all my $$ at
the internet cafe

Do it the easy way: run System Restore and take your system back to a
time/date before your friend ran the updates.

SHEESH! I missed that part. His friend should be able to tell him
which driver he updated, looks like he changed the driver for the
wireless adapter...

Look for System Restore in the system tools folder on your start menu and
restore the system to a date prior to the "friend's" action. Should you not
be able to find it, go to the system32\restore folder and double click:
rstrui.exe
