How do I get clear the print setting "Document Showing Mark-up"?

G

GH115

I have a document that I cannot clear the Print What setting back to
"Document" from the "Document Showing Mark-up" option. This is causing the
document to print smaller than normal. When I change it to Document is
changes back as soon as I print it normally.
Thanks,

It sounds like you have at least one Tracked Change or Comment in your
document. Go to the Reviewing Toolbar / Ribbon Review tab and try the
arrows for going to Next Change or Previous Change to see where they
are; or just click the little triangle adjacent to the "Accept Change"
button and choose "Accept All Changes." (Since you don't get the extra
space at the right with the document open, you _probably_ don't have
Comments, but they might be set to be shown in a separate panel rather
than in balloons.)

(Whenever you have Changes in a document, Word opens it with them
showing, and when Changes are showing, Word wants to Print them, i.e.
Document Showing Markup.)

When you are viewing the file in Final Showing Markup view (which is the
default if the document contains markup), then the default Print setting
will be "Document with markup." If you switch to Final view before printing,
then "Document" will be the default. Or you could just accept all the
changes and turn off Track Changes.
