how do I get administrator rights?

I have just plugged in a cruzer micro flash drive and vista has told me that
it requires an update to allow me to use it, when I get to the U3 Cruzer
update it says that I require administrator rights to be able to update the
flashdrive, how do I do this?

Hi,

I'm assuming you are trying to install a file you downloaded? If so, right
click in and use "run as administrator".

T5,
That's not the issue actually,
ya can try all ya want;but
the issue is;
Vista is not a supported operating system for U3.
It's for XP or older o.s.'s.
I'm assuming you purchased it "on sale" cuz retailer's are dumping em
bigtime.
There's no U3 from Sandisk that works with Vista; yet.
They are aware that it's not Vista compatable.
It'll still let ya us it as a flashdrive though.

But if ya must see for yourself, turn off uac for a moment;and run it that
way.
It'll install;then come up with a message that the U3 drive from
Sandisk-that's in the usb port; isn't a Sandisk U3 drive.
lol
been there; tried it.
good luck tho

Jeff
