How do I fit 2 pages of text into 1 page? With single spacing?

With microsoft office 2007 Word,
How do I fit 2 pages of text into 1 page?
How do I change a particular page into single spacing?

Word doesn't know about "pages," but only about paragraphs that are
formatted with styles.

For a one-off thing, just select everything whose line spacing you
want to change, then in the Home tab, Paragraph group, click the line
spacing button (to the right of the various paragraph justification
buttons, the one with a two-headed vertical arrow and horizontal
lines), and select "1.0."

More generally, open Styles and Formatting (Ctrl-Alt-Shift-S), right-
click on the name of the style Normal, choose Modify, and click the
single-space button (directly under the little box with the type
size).

Mr. Daniels,

Really! This is not very helpful. Your remark that Word doesn't know about
pages implies that you are privy to the secrets of a dark mystery but don't
want to share.
(Angel see: http://daiya.mvps.org/wordpages.htm)

Angel's question used terminology that implies he/she might be familiar with
the "Shrink to fit" command on the Print Preview toolbar of previous Word
versions and may only need to know where that command is in Word2007.
(Angel: Office "Button">Print>Print Preview>Shrink One Page)

Ms. Barnhill has already made available a excellent reference for copy
fitting: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/FitCopy.htm and why Angel
might want to avoid customizing Normal style:
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NormalVsBodyStyles.htm.

Cheers,

And both of you have been suckered into answering obvious homework

Ms. Barnhill,

I don't feel suckered at all. I don't want to do homework, but I don't mind
helping people with homework any more than I mind helping people who then
take my help to turn their own profit.
