How do I embed pictures in an Access 2007 database?

I have a database created in Office Pro XP. It was a good database and I was
able to embed pictures in that database. I made a mistake and upgraded to
Office Pro 2007. I did not convert my database to 2007. Now I cannot update
my database due to the inability to embed those pictures. Reports created to
show the data plus picture no longer works. Are there any options other than
buy an old version of Office XP Pro (since I disposed of that version)? Does
the Office Pro 2003 have the same look and feel as the XP version? The new
computer is killing me financially since I have to replace hardware and
software that are incompatible with Vista as well as stupid mistakes like
upgrading software like Office Pro 2007 which should never have been released
and the individuals who thought it up should be fired. It is not intuitive
but obstructive to those who knew where to go for the commands to get it to
do what they wished.

1. Vista is definitely a new look / feel that is frustrating. It is like
someone redesigned the inside of an automobile - everything is still there
but frustratingly in a different location..... I had the same thoughts as
you but have slowly come to like it. The auto/shadow backup feature of Vista
has saved me now at least twice.... I like Office/Access07 now, but it took
awhile....

2. 2003 is identical look /feel as XP pro

3. One can embed pictures in Access07 Reports. That a report is broken is
somewhat common when upgrading. Some things break. I wouldn't necessarily
say it is just the cause by the picture/image...it could be any custom code.
I've done a couple upgrades and some things did not work. I did not see any
particular consistent logic to what works vs not works. On the otherhand
upgrading database systems is not trivial. I think sometimes the level of
expectations of effortless upgrades is a unrealistic. I really would not
consider going back to 03 - I would just learn 07 - - this report should be
fixable....

upgrading db systems is trivial.

Access is not a database system; it is just a big fat-- unmanageable
pile of spaghetti code.

migrating a SQL Server database from 2000 to 2005 takes _ZERO_ time
and effort.
