error message: Task 'mail.comcast.net - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC6D)
: 'Your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you
continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: 552 maximum message
size exceeded'

Call your ISP and ask what is the largest message size their mail server
will accept from your mail client. (22MB is big and do not be surprised if
they come back with 1 or 2 MB. If this is the case, you need to find
another way to get the file to the recipient.)

Use yousendit.com or dropload.com instead. You are probably more than twice
the limit for the maximum message size permitted by your e-mail provider.
When you attach a binary file to an e-mail, it balloons by 30% to 50% larger
because it gets encoded as a text section within your message (all e-mail is
sent as text).

you can use an utility like winrar to cut your file in 2MB files, and
then send all your files one by one,
or ou can use a web drive (free ISP web hosting for personal website)
and put your file on their by FTP, send the internet link to this file
by mail,
or you can try this service: http://www.sendyourfiles.com/

write: "send big file by mail" on google, you can maybe find the best
solution !

I'm having the same problem... And where the real problem lies is with the
fact that it used to work. We were sending 60MB files from private exchange
server to private exchange server. The ISP has no control over that with a
business account.

My MailBoxStore says no limits; My users say to default to mailbox store;
Outlook NOW says it can't send it. What's going on???

Your thoughts?

You didn't mention what version of Exchange you are using, but the default
maximum size for a message under Exchange 2003/7 is 10MB. This value can be
adjust via the Exchange System Manager.

I'm using Exchange 2003, and correct me if I'm wrong, but the limit size
defaults are stored in the 'Mailbox Sotre' -> 'Limits' Tab correct? If so, I
have nothing checked, which should allow me to send any message size correct?

Awaiting your response,

That is just one of many places that I can think of. The two that I would
check are...

1) Exchange System Manager > Global Settings > Right click/properties on
Message Delivery > Defaults tab

2) The SMTP virtual server if not using a connector (You check this in ESM
as well.)
