How do i delete ntuser.dat to delete old student users?

In setting up computers for the students i can't delete old users with
ntuser.dat files. I can do it with computers using W2k but not XP. Some
students i am able to delete but others i cant do it even if i am the
administrator of the computer. What do i do? charlie
