How do I delete a field name from a linked table in Access?

My source database changed. Some fields were deleted which is blowing up my
linked tables. How can I edit this? I inherited the Access 2003 db and I'm
not very familiar with it. I've tried recreating the link but the source db
is restricted to allow on 50,000 records to be extracted at a time. I don't
know how to write that kind of query.

I don't understand what you mean by the restriction.

Dropping and recreating a linked table doesn't require any queries to be
written.

You have to delete the linked table.
Then you have to re-link it.
This cause all the fields to be correct again.
You need to do this anytime the source table is modified.
It is OK to do it by hand once or twice - but if it is done on a regular
basis you should write some code to do it for you at the "click of a
button".

(This eliminates the need to re-name all the tables to strip out dbo_ and it
allows you to point to different versions of the same database easily.)
There is a local Access table (tblODBCTables) that contains the table names
I want to link to on the Server.
Note: the source table name needs the dbo. prefix which is in the code. The
linked table name usualy omits this. .
