How do I create metalinks for a Frontpage site?

I want to make my site more search engine compatible... and I've heard that
placing the right metalinks, or keywords for searchengines, is the right
thing to do. So, how do I do it? Is there a specific window somewhere to
enter them in? Or is it just the words on my first page that the spiders
scan???
