How do I count cells with text dependent on what the prior cell c.

If I have a column (column A) with days Monday through Friday in it that
repeat over and over again, how can I count the "yes" cells in the next
column (column B) when it matches certain criteria for a certain day. Such
as, all Yes's that are on a Monday.

Please help.

Try this:

Select ColumnA, Count(ColumnA)
From YourTable
Where ColumnB = "Yes";

 

[Brendan Reynolds]

SELECT Count(*) AS TheCount
FROM tblTest
WHERE (((tblTest.TestText)="Monday") AND ((tblTest.TestBool)=True));

I'm assuming here that the second column is a Boolean (Yes/No) column.
