How do I change the default appointment duration in Outlook?

When I create a new appointment in outlook, it defaults to a 1-hour
appointment. I want to change the default to 1/2 hour. How do I do this?

Change the size of time slices shown in the daily calendar view to change
the default length of an appointment. While showing a daily view right click
in the time scale and choose a slice size.
