How do I change the date format in headers/footers to dd/mm/yyyy

Alfie

I work in the UK and use Powerpoint but the date format in headers and
footers show as mm/dd/yyyy. Can Microsoft Office be configured so that it
takes the correct format from the country setting which apply in Control
Panel?
