How do I change the attributes on Access files?

When I copy my access 2003 files to a disk or e-mail them to myself I get the
following message. "This file is Read Only". The attributes on the file that
I send is active, but when I get it that when the message appears and the
attributes are read only. Can you help me with this situation?

Cheyenne,

Files on read-only media (like CDs) can only be read-only. Therefore, when
you copy the file to a CD, Windows marks it as read-only. You have to
uncheck the read-only attribute when you get it off the CD. That shouldn't
happen with Windows XP, though.

As for it becoming read-only when you email it, I have no idea.
