how do i change a scaned document so i can type on it

| can any one help me i am trying to type on a scaned doument

The document is probably either an image (TIFF, e.g.) or a .pdf file. You
need Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software, through which the text in
the image is converted to an editable form. Software of this type varies
widely in quality, and is often bundled with new scanners. Google "OCR."
