how do I attach a document to a contact in the database

I would like to be able in the history table i.e. follow-up history to attach
letters or emails sent to particular contacts, is this posdsible in access
(like you can in ACT for example)

Anything is possible but you need loads of vba coding and maybe some
additional dll and ocx files to handle the documents/emails/attachments.
