I want to add microsoft word so I can use document wizard and check
spelling.I am running XP Pro and only have wordpad and notepad. I also want
to obtain word through net by downloading for free. Does anyone have any idea
of any sites that will help me I'd be very grateful. I also have Adobe Reader

Although a free trial version of Office 2003 is currently available, there
is nowhere that you can legally download a free copy of Word or Office. The
cheapest way to get Word is as part of Works Suite 2005, which includes Word
2002, Works 8, Encarta 2005, Money 2005, PictureIt! Premium 10, and Streets
& Trips 2005. See
http://www.microsoft.com/products/works/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=001.

MS Word and other Office programs are *commercial software*,
which means that they have to be paid for. They have never
been "free" as in "you don't have to pay for them".

If free is what you're looking for in office applications,
go here:
