How do I access my Verizon email in Outlook?

I'm trying to use Outlook to access my Verizon email. I have added the
Verizon server and my acount informationa as instructed by Verizon, but no
Verizon email shows up in the Inbox. I can compose and send an email out
from outlook, and when I run the "Test Account Settings", everythings checks
OK. Any ideas?

Do you have any other mail programs (like Outlook Express) running and
containing that account?

No Outlook express, at least in the Add/Remove Software list or in the
Programs folder that I can see. The XP firewall is set to exempt Outlook and
Outlook Express. Verizn DSL comes with MSN Premium and in Outlook there is a
seperate Folder for the MSN account which has an Inbox, Sent,Outbox, etc. and
that retrieves the email from MSN, of course. I'd rather not use that one
because I want to Uninstall MSN. Maybe I'm too paranoid. I have legitimate
copies of all my software programs, but wonder what big brother MSoft does
when I use MSN. I have actually Unistalled both the Verizon DSL software and
MS Office and reinstalled them to no avail.

No Outlook express, at least in the Add/Remove Software list or in the

Outlook Express is in the Add/Remove Windows Components wizard. If you have
XP, you have Outlook Express. You can't uninstall OE, either and expect
Outlook to work, since Outlook uses some of OE's DLLs.
