How create a shortcut-copy of a whole folder structure?

For various reasons, I wish to create a copy of a (complex) folder
structure (i.e including several subfolders and files) - but I wish
for this "copy" to consist solely of shortcuts to the original
documents.

How can I do this automatically? Creating shotcuts one-at-a-time is
very tedious, so is there a command (or a piece of software) that
allows for "generate shortcut tree-copy from folder X"

Thanks!

hi mat you could try selecting all the folders you wish a shortcut for then
right click select send to desktop (create shortcut) only draw back is they
will all be on ur desktop but you could move them again if you like.

Thanks for your suggestin dez.
as far as I can see, it only results in shortcuts the very folders or
files I select, i.e not any files contained in the folders. But your
suggestion is defintitely quicker than manually creating one shortcut
at a time. It is kind of a "half solution" ;-)

Any other thoughts, anyone?

Thanks!

right click taskbar | move pointer to Toolbars/ click New Toolbar | expand
+'s to get to the Main folder you want |click to highlight it | click OK.
The entire structure is now on the right side of your taskbar. Click the
arrows, then move your cursor to expand each file. Click to open at any
point/folder/file.
To remove, rt.clk. taskbar | toolbars | uncheck your creation.
