How can one restore the "select name" pop up from outlook contact.

In the past whenever sending bulk email I could hit the word "to" and all the
names in my address book would appear. By scrolling I could send a message to
all. In an attempt to delete one name all the "pop ups names" were deleted.
How can I restore from the contact folder which is still intact.

Since the values that appear when you click To and the values that appear when
you begin typing an address in the To field are completely unrelated, you're
misinterpreting what you see. The autocomplete list you see when you begin
typing in the To field is just a memory of the addresses you've used in the
past, whether or not they're in your Contacts folder (and were selected from
the Address Book window).

If you wish to repopulate the autocompletion cache from your Contacts, open
the Contacts folder, select all the contacts with Ctrl-A, then click
Actions>New Message to Contact. A new message window will appear with all
your contacts in the To field. Press Ctrl-K to make sure all the addresses
are resolved. You can then close the new message window. Now close Outlook
itself to make sure the autocompletion data gets written to the file that
remembers it.
