How can I update Outlook 2003 to include 2008 holidays

So, is there no MS supported fix for this? For a domain-wide install, do I
need to make an SMS package to deliver this to each desktop?

Why would MS not add the holidays in an update? Maybe a push to get people
to upgrade to Office 2007?

Ummm... the first link is to the microsoft fix for outlook 2003, the second
is for outlook 2002. The fix for older versions involved me changing the
encoding and file extension of the microsoft fixes so older versions of
outlook could use it...

you'll need to push a fix out... if everyone is on 2003, I'd consider
sending the HOL file and tell them to click on it - it opens the Add holiday
dialog. other options include replacing the outlook.hol with the new one,
so when the users want to update, they can go through tools, options and it
will update.

another option is to forget the HOL file and use a custom form:
http://www.outlookcode.com/d/forms/holiday.htm. If you use this method, I
would still replace the HOL file using a logon script so if anyone wants to
add holidays for other countries later, they have the updated file.

FWIW, upgrading to outlook 2007 is only a half a fix - yeah, it has an
updated holiday file, but most people don't think to reload holidays when
they upgrade and outlook doesn't load them automatically.
