How can I replicate a conditional sum formula?

When I copy a conditional sum formula created using the addin wizard there is
a { symbol in front of the SUM statement. If I edit the cell, the {
disappears and the formula no longer works. Consequently I have to use the
wizard cell by cell rather than copying it.

Enter an array formula
When you enter an array formula, Microsoft Excel automatically insert
the formula between { } (braces).

If the array formula will return one result, click the cell in whic
you want to enter the array formula.
If the array formula will return multiple results, select the range o
cells in which you want to enter the array formula.

Type the array formula.

Press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER.

When editing the formula you will need to also Press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTE
to maintain it as an array formula
