How can I renumber slides?

There are four sections in my presentation. I want each
section to begin with page 1. How can I restart slide
numbering on a page that is other than the true page 1?

The only way I know how to do this....is to save your one presentation as four files.

Then for file 2 do a File menu > page Setup > start numbering pages from X

Repeat for file 3 etc

Darlene,

It goes almost without saying that you could do it manually on each
slide. Insert a small text box on each slide (and not in the master)
and type the page number you want. Advantage: this keeps it to one
file. Drawback: drudgery if you have, say, 600 slides.
