How can I print a single address label using Outlook contacts?

I've found out how to print a single label or envelope if I input the address
each time, and I know how to create a mass mailing using Mail Merge. But when
I try to print a single label, an Address Book drop-down appears that lists
only addresses I've previously inputted manually; it doesn't access my
Outlook contacts. Am I missing something obvious?

I just tried from within Word and I was able to choose an address from my
Contacts folder. Which version of Outlook/Office are you using?

I have Office 2003. I use Word to print single labels (Tools-Letters and
Mailings-Envelopes and Labels) but always have to type in the address
manually. When I click on the address-book icon I get a drop-down list of the
people I've recently typed in, but no access to Outlook contacts. Do I have
to make my contacts available to Word?

You shouldn't have to.

When you check your address book inside of Outlook do you see your contacts?

Thanks for making me go back and examine what I was doing, Vince. I've
persevered and found that I was clicking the down arrow and not the
address-book icon. Suddenly I can see my list of contacts. Grateful for your
help.
