How can I prevent certain graphics or text from printing?

I want to use some graphics and text only for animation but want to prevent
them from printing on the handouts. Is there a way to select specific
graphics or text boxes and mark them as non-printing?

You can set the grayscale setting of most objects to Don't Show, which'llmake
them disappear when youprintto b/w printers.

The exact steps depend on your PPT version.  Let us know that if you need
further instructions on changing grayscale settings.

If you need to make things disappear in color printouts, it gets a little
trickier but can still be done.

Actually, I found this thread by searching and do indeed want color
objects to not print for handouts in classes I'm teaching. I had
planned to finish my master file and then just go in and delete
everything I had appearing, then save as another version. If there is
another way to do this with just one file, I'd be interested in
hearing about it. Thanks in advance.

Came across a trick, which is to format the text to WHITE and then apply a mild shadow - this is visible on screen (edit / show) but does not print...

Haven't worked out exactly what's happening here but it is useful for packs that are intended to be viewed as printed material only.
