How can I make a picture grow during a PowerPoint presentation?

I want to have a picture grow to a larger size and stay that size. This
needs to happen whlie the presentation is running.

Which PowerPoint version are you using? PowerPoint 2002 (PowerPoint XP)
onwards has the Grow/Shrink Emphasis animation that allows you to grow a
shape (or picture) and stay that size while the presentation is running.
