Forced to buy Vista. Loaded my office xp disks. Outlook Express doesnt work
well with BT/Yahoo. So loaded Windows Mail. Looks and recieves fine. Tried to
send a Word doc but it defaults to Outlook Express ONLY which refuses to
send. Deleted Outlook E but word still tries to default to it. Ive tried all
the settings changes I can think of but no go. How can I get Word 2002 to
default to Windows Mail
Thx

I don't understand your repeated references to Outlook Express.
That email program does not install or run on Vista. I assume you
meant Outlook, which is a different email program.

Windows Mail may not have all of its default protocols assigned.
Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from
the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item:
"Set your default programs."
After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on "Windows
Mail". If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults"
then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.
