How can I export my database design in Visio into Access?

I want to use my Visio document to create my database instead of having to
retype all of my fields and tables. Surely this is possible, given the
interoperability of Microsoft's products. How?

Thanks!

I believe it depends on which 'edition' of Visio you have - my understanding
is that this feature is included in the edition that ships with Visual
Studio, but not the edition that ships with Office. (The Office edition can
create a diagram from a database, but I don't think it can create a database
from a diagram).

The above is from memory, however - I don't currently have the Visual Studio
edition installed, so can't test it. You might get a more definitive answer
in a Visio group.

Floprock - I'm having the same exact problem -spent 3 days designing a schema
in VIsio, and would like ot export the Database Properties into an Access
database - but cannot figure out how. I can easily export the Shapes and
their properties using the wizard, but for the liffe of me cannot figure out
how to export the db properties. Have you resolved this issue?

Thanks Brendan - I guess what's most frustrating with this one is that the
layout of the column descriptions in Database Properties is almost identical
to the Design view of a table in Access, and I can't even copy and paste more
than one row name at a time, much less forward engineer a schema!

We can't affford another upgrade right now, I'll just have to tough this one
out...
